PROJECTS

Cluj Pride

Cluj Pride, held since 2017, is the first event of its kind in Transylvania and aims to provide visibility to the LGBTQ community in Cluj, encourage LGBTQ participation in community activities, and contribute to the national dialogue on issues that affect us and our families. We bring local color, a serene and optimistic attitude through a series of activities covering a wide range of needs - from LGBTQ-themed presentations and film screenings to interactive exhibitions and community picnics.

Step by Step Towards an Inclusive Society

CONCLUDED.

Step by Step towards an Inclusive Society is a project implemented by the UNOPA Federation in partnership with COPAC (Coalition of Organizations of Patients with Chronic Conditions in Romania), with financial support from the Active Citizens Fund Romania, a program funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021.

The project aims to increase the capacity of small non-governmental organizations working in underserved areas and for underrepresented groups to engage in human rights advocacy and promote equal treatment through active citizenship programs.

Campus Pride

Campus Pride - Community advocacy campaigns for safe universities is a project carried out by MozaiQ LGBT (Bucharest), Asociația Pride (Cluj-Napoca), and Identity.Education (Timișoara) together with Samtökin ’78 - The National Queer Association of Iceland. The project aims to create a welcoming and safe space and an atmosphere of acceptance for LGBTI students in Romania.

We are aware that this journey we embark on is not an easy one, but we believe it is necessary for all current and future students who envision a university of the future, where each of our identities is accepted, respected, and valued.
